Mission Statement

Porter Cove Homeowners Association formed a board in 2001. The board consists of five homeowners that are elected by vote or proxy, with terms lasting two years. The next voting year is 2009. Per our covenants and by-laws, an annual meeting is held on the first Monday of February. This offers the homeowners a chance to discuss concerns and offer ideas and suggestions to the board, as well as an opportunity to make any changes.

Every homeowner should have received a copy of the Covenants & Restrictions and By-laws during their closing. It is usually attached to the title work. If you need a copy of the Covenants & Restrictions, you can download from this web site. If you need a copy of the By-laws, please contact the Board Secretary.

The following board positions handle the following topics: President- liaison between Porter Cove and the Town of Porter, Vice President - assists the president, and is in charge of the newsletter, Secretary- records the minutes of the meetings, Treasurer- maintains financial records and list of dues collected, Director- oversees various committees, liaison between the board and homeowners.

Monthly board meetings are conducted to discuss homeowners issues, Kids Cove Park issues, financial reviews, committee reviews, and topics directly related to our covenants and by-laws. The minutes from these meetings are posted on this web site. Some information has been redacted for homeowner privacy and confidentiality.

Please voice your comments, opinions or suggestions in writing to PCHA, PO Box 895, Chesterton, IN 46304, or by emailing any board member. You may also voice your comments publicly by going to Speak-out on this web site and posting.

Sincerely,

The 2008 PCHA Board
